Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies
Program Description
The Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies at Western Sydney University offers an interdisciplinary exploration of Islam’s history, theology, law, and contemporary relevance in Australian society and the broader world. Students study the development of Islamic thought from classical to modern times, engage in research and critical analysis, and are encouraged to combine their major with Arabic or related disciplines. Internship opportunities and industry partnerships prepare graduates for careers in education, community engagement, policy advising, public service, and international relations, or further studies in theology and religious research.
