Program Description
The Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Australian Studies at Western Sydney University equips students with a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and contemporary issues, teaching cultural competence to work respectfully and effectively with Indigenous communities. Through this program, students engage in practical fieldwork, internships, and community-based projects across sectors like education, media, government, health, and non-profit organisations. Graduates are prepared for meaningful careers in social justice, cultural heritage, public policy, education, and community advocacy, or may pursue further studies in Indigenous research, anthropology, or social policy.
