Program Description
A Bachelor of Arts in Russian and Linguistics is a joint honors degree that combines a scientific, in-depth understanding of how language works with advanced-level competence in the Russian language. The course explores the fundamental principles of linguistics—phonetics, syntax, and semantics, for example—while also providing a comprehensive study of the rich cultures, histories, and literatures of the Russian-speaking world. The degree equips graduates for a wide range of international careers in fields like translation, language teaching, speech technology, and research, where an understanding of both a specific language and the universal principles of language is an asset.
