Program Description
At the University of Manchester, the BA in American Studies—the UK’s oldest American Studies programme—offers an interdisciplinary exploration of U.S. culture, politics, literature, and popular media, with the option of a semester or full-year study abroad in North America. Students gain transferable skills in critical thinking, writing, and communication, and progress into sectors such as writing, publishing, journalism, PR, teaching, and further academic study, supported by a highly targeted careers service.
