Program Description
The Bachelor of Optometry at the University of Auckland is a four-year professional programme that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on clinical training to prepare students for a career in eye care. Students gain practical experience through extensive clinical placements, learning skills in vision assessment, eye health management, and patient care. Graduates are eligible for registration as optometrists and can pursue careers in private practice, hospitals, research, or vision-related healthcare services both in New Zealand and internationally.
