Program Description
The Bachelor of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at the University of Auckland is a three-year programme that blends core education studies with practical teaching experience. Students gain expertise in language acquisition, curriculum design, and culturally responsive teaching while completing in-school practicum placements. Graduates are eligible for provisional teacher certification and can pursue careers as English language teachers, curriculum developers, language program coordinators, or education consultants, both in New Zealand and internationally.
