Subash Chandra Nembang (1953–2023) was one of Nepal’s most respected political leaders and constitutional experts. Serving as the Chairperson of both Constituent Assemblies, he played a historic role in drafting Nepal’s Constitution of 2015, shaping the country’s democratic future. A senior leader of CPN-UML, he represented Ilam-2 in Parliament for multiple terms and also served as Minister for Law and Justice. Widely admired for his calm leadership, legal expertise, and unwavering commitment to democratic values, Nembang left behind a lasting legacy in Nepalese politics and governance.
