Bhuwan K.C. is one of Nepal's most iconic figures in cinema — a celebrated actor, director, producer, and singer whose contributions have shaped Nepali film for over four decades. He began his career as a singer at the age of ten and made his acting debut in 1983, going on to deliver memorable performances in landmark films such as Samjhana, Kusume Rumal, and Chino. As a filmmaker, he directed and produced Dreams (2016), starring his son Anmol K.C., reflecting his commitment to nurturing the next generation of Nepali talent. In 2022, he was appointed Chairman of the Film Development Board of Nepal, a role through which he continues to champion the growth and modernisation of the country's film industry.
