Trinity Western University (TWU) is a private Christian liberal arts university which is located in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. It was established in 1962 as Trinity Junior College by the Evangelical Free Church and subsequently became Trinity Western College, eventually being granted full university status in 1985. Aside from its campus in Langley, TWU also has campuses in Richmond, British Columbia, and Ottawa, Ontario, through the Laurentian Leadership Centre. The university offers more than 48 undergraduate and 19 graduate degree programs in arts, business and economics, natural and applied sciences, nursing, human kinetics, education, and theology. The university is provincially and professionally accredited, including the Education Quality Assurance designation of British Columbia. There are approximately 5,000 students at TWU, approximately 35% from the U.S. and over 70 other countries.
