Florida International University (FIU) is a public research university established in 1965 by the Florida Legislature, with teaching beginning in 1972. It is part of the State University System of Florida and is located in Miami, Florida, one of the most culturally diverse cities in the United States. FIU’s main campuses include the Modesto A. Maidique Campus in western Miami-Dade and the Biscayne Bay Campus in North Miami, along with several additional locations across South Florida. International merits based Scholarships for graduates and undergraduates Students

There also exist merit-based scholarships offered at Florida International University (FIU) to students who are internationals pursuing their higher education. First-year students who pursue their undergraduate degree can apply to the Gold & Blue Merit Scholarships, which award students with prizes between $4,000 to a maximum of $24,000 annually, with consideration to high grades and test scores, while renewal is contingent upon students maintaining a 3.0 GPA. Students who attain high grades can apply to the Presidential or National Merit Scholarships, which offer full tuition, campus residence, and additionally rewards students with a range of benefits. It is also worth noting that many schools within the Florida International University, including schools such as Business, Engineering, or Nursing, offer merit-based scholarship prizes to students who attain a certain GPA of at least 3.0, with many prizes awarding students with sums between $500 to a maximum or well over $7,500, while those pursuing a postgraduate degree receive a merit-based prize awarding approximately $2,000 annually upon maintaining high grades.
